Image widget not working

  Good morning. My image widgets have not been working properly for a few days now. First, it wouldn’t update my one image in the primary widget area (I am trying to update the link and the caption), although in the dashboard of my blog it seemed to do the updates fine. Now, I can’t see any of the images in my dashboard view, although the image widget still shows, but when I click it to edit the image, no image editing option shows and no picture is visible, and the same for the new image I wanted to add – there are no options to insert an image into the widget and edit it, only to insert and delete a ‘blank’ widget. Can you please assist?
