Image widget not working?

  I don’t know what Im doing wrong but I’m trying to setup my blog and do a “simple thing” like add an image gallery using the widgets.
  I’ve added photos to my Media Library and can see them there but when i go to Customize Widgets and add the Gallery Widget in my Sidebar, it will let me name the gallery but when I click on ‘Choose Images’ button nothing happens!!
  Tried this on several different computers and browsers.
  What am I missing? I thought WordPress was supposed to be simple to use but this making me seriously thing about looking for alternatives.

  Hi there!

  I’m sorry about this. The “Choose Images” button is currently not working in the Gallery widget. This is a known issue and our developers will hopefully have it fixed soon. In the meantime, please head to Appearance > Widgets to add images to your Gallery widget.

  Hi Shawna,
  Thank you for that. It’s not just me then! It seems to be affecting some other templates like Hemingway also which is a real shame.
  Hope someone gets on it ASAP.

  @ rinnin,
  I think what shawna is saying is that it presently doesn’t work on any theme in the Customizer. It should work if you go directly to the widgets page via dashboard > Appearance.

  Thanks for clarifying for me musicdoc1, that’s exactly what I meant. The issue has been escalated with our developers, so it should get a fix soon. :)
