Image Widget size problem
-
I want to put an image in my sidebar of my blog that will remain there to give some visual interest, since the posts are mostly text. I copied the URL from the photo on my facebook page, and put it in the widget, but on the post it came out crazy. It was super long and thin, only showing part of the pic and pushing the other widgets down so far no one would see them. I want it to be a small, regular size photo to fit the dimensions of sidebar. I have no idea how many pixels that is or anything. What do I need to do?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Don’t use images hosted off site in image widgets because then wordpress cannot have control over the displayed size. Upload that image to your media library here, get the URL of that image and then put that URL into the image widget and wordpress can then control the image size and display it properly.

I tried that, and it did the same thing. It’s actually in the media library twice, and one of them says “background image.” I didn’t know what that meant, so I didn’t use that one. Anything else I can try?
