Image won’t center

  I’m having a hard time with the new image editor. The old one was removed and the new one isn’t very accurate. If I input an image, I pick the “Center” choice, but when I visit the site, the picture is on the left. If I edit, it’s in the center, but once I go back to the site, it’s on the side! I can’t seem to correct the discrepancy between the editor and the site.

  I’m using the Tarski theme, and I had to type the centering code into the html:

  ‘ <p align=”center”><img src=”http://your_image.jpg” /></p> ‘

  This is the only fix that has worked for me. Sometimes, spacing and alignments that look right in my editor don’t show up after I save the page and refresh. From what I can see in viewing source on the page, the problem appears to be related to CSS code that is automatically substituted for the code I type.

  Oh shoot. I’m not techie guy and I’m SO not good with html. I can copy how you did it, but there HAS to be an easier way. I just hope the image editor worked. There’s an image alignment choice, it just doesnt work. But thank you for the info, it’ll solve my problems for now.

  Thank you, please! I tried flaneur’s suggestion just now, and it’s still the same. It’s centers on the dashboard, but it’s to the left on the actual site. My site is chicogarcia.wordpress.com. The last 2 posts have all the images on the left side, but if you were to check them on the dashboard, they’re at the center.

  I just did a quick test and image centering worked for the Tarski theme. If you have problems, please provide the URL to and example post.

  If anyone has problems with the image alignments working properly in other themes, definitely let us know.

  I am also having a new problem with image placement. I use Simpla theme. My previously perfectly formatted posts are now all messed up. Images that were once centered are now aligned to the left, even though they are still centered in the dashboard. This is true for many of my recent posts, but not all. The problem seems random.

  I emailed support and they fixed it. It was a problem with the CSS for Simpla theme. All my posts are back to how I made them now. Thanks.
