image won't display on individual portfolio pages

    I’m using the Orvis theme. I can get the featured image for the portfolio pages to appear on the home page, but no image appears on the individual portfolio pages.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there,

    Orvis doesn’t actually display featured images on the portfolio items. The images you see in the demo are actually added as content inside the body of the portfolio project.

    You can do the same by adding the image where you’d like within your portfolio project.

    Thanks for the reply: I was also confused by what they wrote

    this is just not true!
    for me, ok, no problem i add a link to the image in the post, but why they do write something totally not true? and you guys from WordPress allow it? this is misleading.

    Thank you again for clarifying something I had found out but I thought I was missing something form the developer!

    This is correct. When you edit a portfolio item (not blog a post), the text is moved to the left, while the images are moved to the right:

    Orvis will automatically place the text on the left hand side and any media on the right hand side of the single portfolio page. If you’d like to keep a line of text with the image on the right, simply add it before or after the image and do not include a line break between the two.

    In the case of this portfolio item from the demo, here is the content from inside the editor:

    The steps to which the girl had pointed, were those which, on the Surrey bank, and on the same side of the bridge as Saint Saviour's Church, form a landing-stairs from the river. To this spot, the man bearing the appearance of a countryman, hastened unobserved; and after a moment's survey of the place, he began to descend.

    This causes the text to be on the left while the image is on the right.
