Image won’t load and text widget not opening

Its going to be a little difficult for me to try to explain whats going on, but I will do my best. First here is my site url: http://dizzywoodsecretsnotes.wordpress.com/ On to the story… We reloaded our computer from scratch and now all of a sudden I can’t load pics on to my blog. When I click the add image button I get taken to the screen to upload a picture. That all works fine, but right after crunching the pic, when normally the picture would pop up in the top left corner and I have the option of adding caption, size, center ect.. that doesn’t happen. Instead immediately after crunching, the name of the pic comes up and that’s it. Also the screen is stuck and I can’t close it. I have also realized that when trying to open the text widget that only a small part of the top of the box is able to be seen. I know of another person who is also having the EXACT same problem, image, text box, everything. I have Fire Fox and I have downloaded all the most recent updates to Adobe.. so now I am at a loss as what to do. Everything worked fine prior to the reload of our computer.

What version of Firefox are you using? You said you downloaded the recent updates to Adobe – do you mean you have updated your flash? Have you tried the browser uploader?

I’m wondering if this might be a security setting. Make sure cookies are enabled and WP.com is listed as one of your trusted sites.

Yes, I have tried switching to the browser uploader. Still didn’t work. I also updated the latest flash. I will check my security settings and cookies now.

Nope, nothing working!!! My blog kind of depends on pictures, if I can’t fix it, I might as well delete it. Its so frustrating. I have no idea where to go or what to do for help.

I did, the first reply was just a link to make sure that I did have the latest adobe flash. I did, but I reloaded it again, anyway. Now I just emailed them for a second time to let them know that it still doesn’t work. Hopefully they can think of something. Being that I know someone with the exact same problems, I was hoping this would be a known problem, with a known solution… Oh, well.

I know what you mean about the “Text” Widget. I’ve tried to use it also, but every time I click on the ‘Edit’ button under it, the whole widget disappears. It’s impossible to use. I use IE, and not Firefox, so if you’re having problems with it in FireFox, and I’m having problems with in in IE, then it’s definitely a glitch. ;-)

The text widget problem is easy to fix. When you add the widget, click “save” at the bottom, and then go back to edit it. Or at least that worked for me.

Ok, here’s where I am at now. I used the Browser uploader with IE instead of FF and it worked as far as it loaded the picture and I could choose the size and all that, I inserted it in the post and I could see that it went into the post, but the window that uploads the picture stayed there and just turned white so I couldn’t get to the post to save it.
