image won’t show up in sidebar

  I have tried over and over again to upload an image and paste the URL into a widget in the sidebar by following the FAQ’s; however, my image keeps popping up as broken. I have tried smaller images and everything. Not sure how to get it to work…

  What is the filename of the image on your hard drive? What is the URL of the uploaded image?

  the filename on the hard drive is TurbulenceT3_4.jpg
  the url is http://gregcarbone.files.wordpress.com/2008/10/turbulencet3_44.jpg, which i have tried. I have also tried insterting the <img src= http://gregcarbone.files.wordpress.com/2008/turbulancet3_43.jpg”&gt;

  Here’s the FAQ on writing links http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/07/01/how-to-write-links/ However, when I click on the link address you have given (note that you gave us 2 different link addresses), neither one links to an image. Please go into your media area, copy the image link and paste it here.
