Imagefile remains accessible after deleting it and deleting the website
-
I wanted to delete an image file unter ahora90.wordpress.com . There was no option for deleting permanently. And the image remained accessible using an URL like ahora90.files.wordpress.com/ path_to_image. Then i deleted the website, but even after that the image still remained accessible. How can this be possible? How can i delete this image file now?

Hi there!
Browsers use caches, sometimes some informations could be in there, I’ve made a test now accessing your site and it is unavailable. If you send to me an URL of one of your image I can test too.
If you are using Google Chrome, try the Incognito Window.
Regards.

It doesn’t seem to be a cache issue. The file is still served by the webserver.
Is there a way to send the full URL to you without exposing it here in the forum? -
Unfortunately there’s no way to do that, I’m only a regular user and I ain’t part of the staff, sorry.

OK, so you can basically reverse and decode this (b64) and append it to the url above. =cGcq5Set9yNw8iNxAjM
You will see that the file is not deleted and still existent. -

Please reverse the order of the characters first and decode with base64 afterwards. append it to the url above.

Sure, I forgot to reverse it. So, I’ve made a test here and I got the page 404 — File not found..
