All the images on my site have disappeared. (They have been fine upto date) By images I mean the page header and any photos that should be there. I have emptied the cache and browser and temporary internet files. How can I restore them?

Hello!
I am driving myself crazy, I can’t seem to change or get access to the top area, I’m new at this, it would be the top image, where what I think should be the header located, it’s all black and it only shows a gif that is the representative image of one of the entries, but I don’t want it there!
I have tried through the entry and through customize and is not easy, it’s not UX accessible, it’s annoying. Sorry to show my frustration, but it’s way complicated.
I would appreciate any help, thank you. The blog is : https://animalinstinctespana.wordpress.com/

Hi there,
Sorry you are having so much difficulty with your site setup! It seems like you’ve gotten it figured out but I wanted to leave you with some information just in case.
It sounds like the images you were trying to update were a theme specific setting. Since each theme varies in how these areas are populated, they each have their own support document that will walk you through those steps. You can reach this easily by clicking the theme link in your footer but also here is the support document for your current theme, Gazette:

Let me know if you still need help with this!

I seem to have been misunderstood! The headers on my site and other pictures (including several on ‘Your Photos’ page) have disappeared. They (or similar) have been there without problems since set-up over 5 years ago. My current theme is ‘Misty’ not ‘Gazette’. I should point out that I have no problem with graphic displays in other websites or with the display of my own stored photos and videos.
Please help! -
I’m so sorry about that!
The theme MistyLook has been retired and as a result may not be compatible with all devices and WordPress updates. It is likely that is causing the problem with your images.
An updated version of this theme called Misty Lake came out in December 2012 that you might want to consider if you want to stick with this format. Here is the support document on Misty Lake:

We also have nearly 400 awesome themes, so you could also switch to something completely different. You can browse through our themes here:

Thanks for that. I’ve loaded the ‘Misty Lake’ theme am the picture is fine. I still don’t have any of my other images and pictures!

When I view the audit trail for your site, I see numerous files deleted about 1 month ago. I also noticed that due to the size of the file currently in your media, you are over the storage space limit.
Did you happen to clean out some media files about a month ago to make room for more uploads?
-
Thanks for that. I’ve not done any ‘clean up’ on this site but I have done some on my computer and this is possibly the problem. I have just successfully reloaded an image on the home page so I’m sure I will be able to reload my other pictures. Incidentally, my stats show : Storage Space
3,072 MB Space Allowed
4.90 MB (0%) Space Used
So I don’t know where you got the overload from!
Anyway, thank you for all your help and patience! -
