Hi, I am wanting to know how to have an image featured along with my post when they appear on my homepage, however I dont want it to be a featured image. How do I achieve this?

I totally didn’t understand your question, of what are you trying to achieve, for you to have the images on the Front page, they have to be marked as Featured Image, then you can control their display using
Content Options
In your themes Content Options, you can manage the Featured Image options, you can enable the checkbox which says
“Display on blog and archives”, also there are other options to manage it, if it appears double on the Full Blog, you can disable the checkbox” Display on single posts”
and have them as your first image only, so it will give you an arrangement of having images on your Home page and also Blog page correctly.
Also, if it’s not totally clear, you can detail out by giving an example of a sample Post and an Image specifically, just walk us through, and we can provide you the best possible solution for it.
