    I can’t figure out how to resize images in the new block format. I want two small images side by side and whenever I try to change the size from ‘large’, it changes it back. Overall I find the new setup to be incredibly frustrating to use; inserting images is a nightmare and my posts never look nice.

    Hi there,

    On what site are you working? And can you give a link to (or the title if it’s a draft) the post where these images are misbehaving?

    To have two images side by side, first they’ll need to be sized narrower than 50% the width of the content area, and secondly you’ll need to change the alignment on both to left-aligned. It worked this way in the classic editor as well.

    That said, the simplest way to have images display side by side is to use a gallery block instead:
