  I have a question about website images. I have to upload several images for different purposes for my woocommerce store. I have to upload product images, product category images, gallery images, decorative images, etc.

  I cant figure out what size images I should be uploading for the different purposes. My question is, will wordpress or woocommerce shrink my images before serving them to the client? I understand they are displayed at specific sizes baed on the purpose, but are the images shrunk to that size before being served?

  I want to upload high quality images but dont want my website to serve unessesarily large images over the network and slow my website down.
