  I have images on Shopify with no problem but when I try to use the images here, it will not let me it says an unknown error occurred

  WP.com: Yes
  Jetpack: No
  Correct account: Yes

  If you want to embed some images that are hosted on any other platform outside WordPress.com, you could use the Image Block and refer to the the “Insert from URL” feature (where you’ll paste the image URL address):
