  I have been adding images without problems to my blog until yesterday. Now all I see is the jpeg symbol and no picture. The caption shows, but no image. This is also the case when viewing any support pages…I see only icons, not the images to show what I should be doing.
  Can anyone help? Have I magled a setting somewhere?

  Probably not, but your ISP may have. This typically happens when your internet service provider has some kind of glitch, a holdup between you where you are and the image server, wherever it is. A lot of people in Ireland have been reporting problems; are you using an Irish ISP? If so, contact them, because the problem is on their end.
