  how do I remove an image entirely from the server?
  say this image can still be found even if I delete it from the article.

  Delete the image from the post or page, from the Media Library and then go into your Uploads Trash folder and permanently delete it there.

  Hi there… thank you very much… I get into Media-Library for the media files and there are no files listed an no link to trash… but it appears the link still works… perhaps I need to find the trash folder for the media downloads?
