I have incorporated two pictures into my latest article but when I save the article and post it online it chooses the second image. How do I choose the first image instead to lead my article? I have even deleted the second image completely but it is still shown when the article is updated and saved.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

What’s the link of the post you are referring to? and where are you posting this online?

Ive written an article on my blog lawrence556.wordpress.com When you see the articles I have a picture that goes with the article. I want to change that picture.

On default the thumbnail is set based on the first image uploaded to a post. If you want to use a different image instead, use the Featured Image feature: http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image

Thanks, but unfortunately I’ve since tried that process and it still retains the old picture. I’ve even tried removing the old picture completely and it’s still resolutely hanging on! Ive checked the screen option button but nothing changes there too. There shouldn’t be any problem with the size of the picture because it went straight into the document no problem!

Maybe it’s the cache in your browser…i’ve seen this before, look at your post from a different browser and see if it posted correct..

Well actually, if you mean the twitter image instead of the flag in your last post….i see it too. :/ Not sure why it’s doing that.

Try copying the post to notepad then deleting it altogether and just make a new one with the flag picture. :/ Then try going in and editing to add the second picture after you already published.

:/ …. maybe it will work.

Staff (kardotim) answered the question previously.

Thanks Margeret, the only way I can think of doing it is removing the whole post and putting it back on, but then won’t it go back on with the new date?

PS: Whilst the staff member did offer what appears to be the right answer when I followed it I just couldn’t switch the two pictures. I guess that’s the power of twitter! Thank you for your efforts to help though.
