  when I place the mouse on a photo and hover there, the text doesn’t show anymore, like it used to show the name and number of the image. Why has this changed and what can I do to show the text again.

  I can see what you do not see. I’m using Firefox 23. Try clearing your browser cache and cookies. http://www.google.com/support/accounts/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=32050
