I want to add a series of pictures of the covers of my cook books along the right side of the page. The posts are on the left. I cannot figure out how to do this.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are two ways you can do this with widgets in your sidebar. From support documentation:
image widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/image-widget/
text widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/text-widget/ -
If you gave a Filckr account then the third way is to upload the images to Flickr and display them using this widget http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/flickr-widget/

Not sure if this is what you are looking for but here goes. When you place your IMG on the page, you can edit the HTML view and add “img class = “alignright”, before the source and it will push the image to the right side of the page.
<img class="alignright" src="http://mysite.com/imagebutton.gif> -
I see this at the top of the sidebar: Books By Victoria Wise
That is why I answered as I did. -
I am using the Theme Cut Line. I have figured out how to bet a widget “Books by Victoria Wise” but I can’t figure out how to get an image into it.

@wisekitchen: First you need to upload the images via Media > Add New, so that you get URLs for them. Then consult the links timethief gave you.

I posted an answer in your new thread after I tried it out in my test blog to confirm that it worked well. https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/10-images-in-a-row-on-right-side?replies=2#post-428098
