images – always a part of them being cut off, not what I see after I’ve uploaded an image and BEFORE I’ve clicked the ‘preview…I’ve tried all different types of presentation (standard, image ,aside….)It is like: always the top and bottom of the image ,( and then also, annoingly, this section where the title is) will be cut off, so that I’ve already started to take pictures with a bit space on top/bottom…but that’s not how it should be, don’t get it!
OTHER QUESTION: I created s.th lately with open office / pdf – both are types that should be supported (as indicated in the list of possible file types); well, there’s no alert for ‘mistake’ , it uploads and it shows there’s s.th., but in the preview it won’t be displayed- why?solution?

I’m not sure what you’re asking. Are you having trouble uploading a PDF to your Media Library?
PDFs will not display on your site — they will only appear as downloadable links.
The only way to embed a document into your site is with the following:

e.g., just the first picture, on top, see the word ‘Bier’ is cut off on top ,a bit; the original picture has quite a bit more ABOVE the word ‘Bier’, and also the picture I see once I’ve uploaded it (and ALSO the picture I see, after I have clicked ‘Insert’ or s.th. (I use the german website) – there’s still the full picture)
but then, after I’ve clicked ‘preview’ – in the preview and in the published version as well, there’s what you see at the link.
Also, at the bottom, there’s the title covering a partof the image, which I don’t like.
thanks for the advice with the pdf, I expected and hoped I could insert them just like images; would be great, since I wanted to put a music-link into a picture, didn’t find a way.

Regarding the top image which is being cropped:
Your images are too large for the area provided, so they will be cut off then they are added to those areas of your site. The best size image to set as Featured Image for your site is: 1038px x 576px. Otherwise, it will not display fully.
Also, at the bottom, there’s the title covering a partof the image, which I don’t like.

Sorry I couldn’t be more helpful with the PDFs…you could also convert them into image files, if you prefer. Then, you can display them as any other image files on your site.
