Images are correct size in visual editor but too big when published

I’ll insert an image, select thumbnail, align the text around it, and everything looks just as it should in the visual editor. When I preview, the image looks fine in mobile or tablet view but is huge in PC preview. When I publish, the image looks huge on my tablet as well as my PC (I don’t have a mobile to check it on).
When this first started a few weeks ago, the code editor showed me that size-medium had somehow been introduce to the code. I manually removed that, and it solved the problem (often after several attempts, for some reason). But other pictures that are causing me the same issue have thumbnail in the code.
I’ve altered the default image settings in settings, to no avail. I’ve tried switching sizes of the images, to no avail – the editing screen always reflects the change, but the previewer doesn’t. I’m really lost as to what the problem is and would be so grateful for any help.

Sorry, I should have added – I finally got around this problem by manually resizing the picture on today’s post (though that means the text and image are slightly out of alignment). But when I tried to do the same with the pictures on the page linked to above, it didn’t work.

Hey @joyfielding, I’m sorry we missed this earlier. It looks like there’s a bug along these lines, and I’ll add your case to the list. And yes, you’re right to go ahead and using the sizing option as a workaround for now. We’ll update you here when we have more info. Cheers!

Thanks so much. I confirm the problem is still continuing, though manually dragging the image to the correct proportions is working as a workaround (although it does make for some unevenly sized pictures on the page). Thanks again for your help.

If you want more even sizing, there’s an option on the right side of the page that will let you set the width (or height, depending on what makes more sense for your case).
