Images are now appearing huge on my site when they were resized in the post.

I have images that were sized correctly, now are gigantic. I really would prefer to not go through and have to reupload all of them. For example, a 200×200 is now displaying as the full size 400X400 upload. Please fix. You can see an example on http://overthepylon.net/about/ with our staff photos. I have went through and fixed some on the main page, but scroll down to page 7 or so and you’ll see the issue.

  • Hi Alan – This is because of a change we recently made. You can read more about it here:

If your images are using classes like “size-medium” (common) and you want to change them all at once, go to Settings > Media and make sure the max widths and heights are set correctly there.

If you’d like to adjust just some of your images and you are familiar with HTML, the “size-KEYWORD” class attribute can be changed and the image will then automatically resize to match the dimensions you’ve added in Settings > Media.

If you do not want the Settings > Media sizes to take effect, edit the HTML for the image and take out the “size-KEYWORD” class attribute.
