Images are reading as clickable to a screen reader when they shouldn’t be
-
Images on my site are reading as being a clickable object despite having no link associated with them to a screen reader. This is a problem for my client who is trying to start his accessibility business, but we are stumped on this issue. I’ve looked at the HTML code in the templates, and have made sure that there’s no link associated with them to the best of my knowledge.
I’ve reached out to support multiple times in the past few days without any response. Help?

Bumping for more information as I was reached out to on other platforms
Tried adding CCS code for the Twenty Twenty theme that goes as follows:/* Remove focus style on links */
.has-background-white .site a:focus:not(.wp-block-button__link):not(.wp-block-file__button) {
background: unset;
color: unset;
text-decoration: underline;
}
But I’m uncertain if this has resolved the issue.

One more bump after reviewing my clients forum post that it also seems like mail forwarding hasn’t been set up properly despite going through the steps for the free email forwarding. Apologies for the bumps

Hello @delaforc8e899817be
Thank you for the video and the messages. I have located the ticket you opened with us and I am going to follow-up with you directly there.
As I understand your client’s concern, images that he’d expect to be treated as static images are instead categorized as buttons so when he moves through the page using keyboard shortcuts, he is being “snared” by these buttons while trying to reach the actual content on the page.
Instead, the images should be, as he described it, “decorative” and not get in the way of browsing the site. I can see how this can be frustrating from an accessibility perspective. We’ll investigate further.
