Images are showing not showing in individual posts

  Hello everyone. I’ve just sent a note to Support on this issue, but as my last one (on another matter) was never replied to and never resolved then I thought I’d be more likely to get help here!

  Basically, if you look at the home page of my blog, then all images in all posts are fine, but if you look at individual posts instead then most images don’t show at all!

  At first I thought it was just my computer, but I’ve encountered it on several different browsers at computers at different locations, so something appears to be wrong with my blog specifically. It seemed to start about a week ago.

  I spend a LOT of time and effort finding good quality images to use on my blog, and indeed, some of the posts are only about the images themselves, so not having them appearing at all is a BIG problem for me! So if anyone can help at all and soon, that would be much appreciated!

  It looks like you have somehow used relative links for your images. I’m not sure if that is causing the problem or not.

  If you read this, about how to avoid self-pings, that is what relative links and absolute links look like. But I’m not sure why that would be causing a problem.

  Thanks for your help, and I’ll have to look more closely at it after work tonight (6:54am here!), but I suspect it’s something else: I haven’t changed the way I use links for my images at all, and the problem is also occurring for images that have no links at all!

  Regardless, I’ve painstakingly saved as new files, deleted old ones, then re-uploaded new versions of the problematic images. As far as I can tell, that’s fixed the problems.

  I’m glad that what you did worked. Your links now look like proper absolute links.

  I’m still curious if anyone knows how you could have first made the relative links, though.
