Images are smaller now

Something has happened to the size of the images in my posts. The first picture that used to be a big one is now much smaller and it’s impossible to change the size.

Hey there, FYI-I’m not seeing any change to the size of the feature images on your recent posts. I’m also comparing yours to the feature image size on the WPcom theme demo site for Duotone. Both your site and the demo site show the width of the featured image as 840 pixels, but the height of the featured image depends on the vertical dimensions of the image you upload.
It might seem silly to ask, but is there any chance you accidentally changed the zoom level in your browser? It can happen. :)
Also mentioning that uploading full-size images to have them resized to 840 pixels wide is both a huge drain on your storage space and takes a long time for the image to load for anyone viewing on mobile data. It’s preferable to resize and optimize your images before uploading.

Thank you both of you for trying to help me. No, I have not changed the zoom level. And no, my pictures are not the same size as in the demo. All my posts have changed, not only the latest. This happened once before. I do know about optimizing and so on but now I have tried in many ways to change the size but nothing works.

Hi there, I don’t know if you’ve resolved this already, but I did run across an earlier forum thread of yours about Retina display https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/image-size-smaller-suddenly/
In that thread, anyone using a PC to look at your site didn’t see any difference, but with a Mac they did.

Thank you so much 2020testjj for reminding me! No this is not resolved yet but I hope it will be soon. I’ll send the link to the support team so they can read it and hopefully find a way to fix it.
