images are smaller than what I uploaded
-
I just made a new post, first time since late december 2008. I uploaded large images, but when visiting my site, you cannot see the large image. The only image available is the 500-pixel-wide thumbnail on my main page. Many of my images are much larger than that. Some of my older posts have also lost there large images, being reduced to the thumbnail-sized image on the blog. Do you have any advice for me? OK, thanks very much.

Please check your media settings, you can increase the size of your default media formats: small, medium, large. Alternatively you can select full size option among the other available i.e. thumbnail, medium, large; while uploading media file.
And check you are not inserting any gallery code in to your post or page otherwise a thumbnail will appear in your content and it will open in a new page with its original size.
In your case, it seams you are unknowingly selecting the thumbnail size option while inserting the image in your posts.

By the way, your page takes too long to load, because you’ve got too many images. You’d better reduce the number of posts per page (under Settings>Reading).
