Images are Stretched

  The featured images are stretched – big problem. ALSO showing up as wrong blog posts:
  i.e ‘Hairdresser’ shows up as a tattoo artist, but when clicking blog post the correct image shows? whats going on

  Nice photos!

  The featured images are stretched

  Ah, so the images being used in the slider aren’t sized well to display there. Those images are tall, while the slider uses images that are wide.

  Heres’s a quick note about the featured image sizes from the bottom of the Toujours theme guide:

  Featured Images should be at least 1160 wide. If you’re using the Featured Content slideshow or displaying the three recent posts, they should be at least 655 tall.

  So I’d recommend using wide images and cropping them to 1160 x 655. They should fit better in the front page slider.

  Did you already resolve this? The names/photos match when I look at your slider and click on the images now. If you’ve made recent changes and don’t see them, try clearing your browser cache to have your browser download a fresh copy of the site’s files.

  Sorry! I changed my theme back to toujours because that was my original one, and I still didn’t like it but it’s better than it was – which I’ve changed it back again so you can have a look. (I forgot I had written on the forum tbh haha) I’m assuming I just need to change the image size like you said earlier?

  The theme I’m using is boardwalk

  Have you read the theme guide here https://wordpress.com/theme/boardwalk?

  Featured Images are 2000 wide by 1500 high.

  Ok, I see it now. The images you have will work, but you’ll need to go to My Site > Customize > Content Options.

  From there, check the box under Featured Images that says Display on blog and archives. Save the changes.

  That will enable the images to be properly displayed on the front of your site.
