Images aren’t showing on my site

None of my images on my blog posts are currently showing up on the page, instead all images have a white box with an x in the corner…I don’t see this issue on other blogs…is it me?

Hi, http://jocelynjanecox.wordpress.com/. There should be (and was, for the last few days) an image at the top of this post. There was also a picture under the posting “Happy New Year” and it is also now missing. I cannot even get any images to show up under “browse” on the edit page…

hmmm….and this was my first time putting real pictures of myself on my blog…haha..maybe it was a bad idea ;-)

All pictures show just fine on both blogs. You need to do the proxy server test. Simply go to one or two proxy servers and look at your blogs through the proxy servers. Because the problem here must be your company who service you with your internet connection or the old router problem.

romi41: yes, all of your images are showing up for me.
I can see broken images on joc1400’s site. I’ll get our network guys to take a look.
Images are handled by a distributed network of caching servers. Any problems probably only affect a few of them, so it’s likely to be intermittent and localized.

About the old-router-problem story:
The rumor is, that there are major errors on one or more router systems somewhere in the world. Some big server networks are having problems. There is noting wrong with our blogs. But from time to time our internet connection will be guided via these faulty net work and that’s why we can’t see some of the images when this happens.
Most of our readers see our blogs perfectly fine. A lot of bloggers think their images show fine to all readers because they can see pictures clearly themselves. That is unfortunately wrong. We all have a few readers who for a period see some red crosses instead of pictures.
Usually it will take 2 – 2½ weeks before the problem disappears.
There is no official confirmation of this explanation but this is how the problem was explained to me.

Okay, I suddenly have images again. I don’t know if one of the network guys did something, or if it just randomly started working again, but thanks, all, for holding my hand through this difficult time :)

None of the images on my blog are loading either at the moment and I also can not browse them in my editor….
