The cusom design upgrade does come with Staff support. Please ignore that spam above. I have reported it to Staff. -
Unfortunately, the code doesn’t support images in post titles, because the post titles are written to a database (among other things). It would also be terrible for navigation and SEO purposes.
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Maybe there’s another way to do what you want.

Thanks for the advice.
As my site is mostly for photos, I really want to have each of my posts identified with thumbnail photos, in a similar way that I store them on ‘my pictures’. i don’t need the words for the post titles. is that possible?? -
Some themes utilize the “featured image” option which will connect a particular photo that you designate with each post. Depending on the design of the theme, the photo may then be displayed more prominently than other photos on the home page of your blog. It might be worth playing around with.

You could, with CSS, add a small image to perhaps the beginning of post titles, but it is not something that you could easily vary post by post since it would require that you add CSS for each and every post and that would soon cause your CSS file to bloat and affect page loading times adversely.
