Images can't be displayed after importing data from self-hosted blog wordpress

    Hi,
    I have exported all my data from self-hosted wordpress to wordpress.com yesterday.

    But unfortunately many images in my posts can’t be displayed, and in addition to that they have disappeared from my media library as well. Does that mean that something went wrong during exporting/importing my data from self-hosted wordpress?

    All the pictures I had in my media library I have uploaded on my blog to replace the images that can’t be displayed, but unfortunately maybe it’s only around 50%; still another 50% of images are missing images or images that can’t be displayed.

    Hey there –

    It sometimes takes up to 24 hours for all the media files to import. Has it been a full 24 hours?

    If so, importing again could get the rest of the content over to your WP.COM site while at the same time not duplicate what was successfully imported over the first time.
