Images disappear

Why do my photos sometimes disappear from the post, even after I spend so much time editing them and arranging them how I want them?? They just disappeared when I published it, and even restoring previous revisions does not bring them back. This is not the first time this has happened, and it is extremely frustrating!

Do you delete your photos on the media page once you’ve published a post? I did that to allow more room for future posts, and it deleted all the photos from my published posts. I had to go back and reload all the photos.

Please post the URLs to the posts/pages with missing images in them.
Where are the missing images hosted?
Are they hosted on an image hosting service like Flickr or photobucket?
Did you upload them into your Media Library?
Did you delete them from the Media Library? Like safariofthemind said if you do that then they cannot be displayed so you have to reload them.
