Images disappeared when I customized css
-
Help, I feel like this might be really trivial but I have no idea where to start looking.
I copied all my css for the mistylook, updated a few text colors and copied and pasted. But then all of my images were gone. I thought it must be a glitch while previewing but it was still doing it when I upgraded and actually saved my stylesheet over the old one.
I figured out that I just had to update the url for the header image from the url in the manage uploads section, BUT what do I do for all the other urls, like img/icon_feed.gif?
My url is militanthippie.wordpress.com
Your help is appreciated!

You’ll find with any theme here the header image will vanish when you alter the CSS and you were right to enter the full url, which you’ll have to do again if you change the header image down the road.
For Misty, here’s an example that has the full path for the graphics. In this case, it’s the shadow frame around images.
.entry img { background:url('https://s-ssl.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/pub/mistylook/img/shadow.gif?m=1172446079i') no-repeat right bottom; border:none; border-top:#eee 1px solid; border-left:#eee 1px solid; padding:4px 10px 10px 4px; }But the RSS icons — I had to upload those and provide the direct path, as with the header.
HTH – You’ll enjoy Misty I think.

Ah, thanks so much! The part of the url above – https://s-ssl.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/pub/mistylook/img/ – pasted before each img url worked.
