Images Disappearing

  Hi – really need your help! I’m having a problem with images I’ve posted. Had the blog since Jan/Feb 2012 so I’ve worked through a lot of educating myself and learning; however, I’m not a tech-geek; I like just keeping it simple.
  I post an image the way I’ve always done – in the New Post, through Media, upload and insert as preferred size. It posts great on the blog and in the e-mail rcvd. Most recent example is my “Main Blog” (page not post; but it’s also happening in posts) where I posted an image yesterday. Pulled it up just now and image is gone! White blank box… I’m getting so frustrated! This has gone on for quite awhile actually; in the past, I’ve gone back in to edit the post, removed the image, and re-inserted it. Works for a short period then disappears again!
  Please help me! I really appreciate your assistance.

  (1) Are these missing images found in your Media Library ie. did you upload them from your computer onto WordPress.com servers? And, if so, then are they still in the Media Library? Please check.

  Or are the missing images ones you have linked to on some other server somewhere else online such as flickr or photobucket who allow hotlinking?

  Or are the missing images ones you have linked to on some other server somewhere else online that does not allow hotlinking?

  If you removed any images from your Media Library then they cannot be displayed. If you are hotlinking to images on sites that don’t allow that the images will not be displayed.

  Wow! Once again, I say you guys are SO helpful! That was a duh on my part! I always try to keep my Media Gallery from filling up too much but duh! If I remove them they won’t show anymore and that’s exactly what I’ve been doing. Thank you so much – glad the answer was so easy!
