Images Display Titles Only Retroactively

  Images that had posted correctly before, in older posts,now show only the title, i.e. “picture.jpg” instead of showing the picture. This has happened retroactively.

  In a new post, I can upload new images to the picture manager, but when I hit “Send to Editor”, nothing happens.

  Plus, I can only compose in Code, Visual option is greyed out.

  I have not changed the theme nor any other setting.

  What is your operating system please?
  Which browser and version of it are you using?
  Have your tried clearing your browser, logging out, clearing your cache, cookies,etc and signing in again? http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/09/06/force-refresh/

  Windows XP and Firefox 2.0.0.3. I tried all that stuff (just now) and it didn’t work. I opened IE, and the pictures do display there and the editor worked, so apparently it is a browser issue.

  I guess I”ll try reinstalling Firefox.

  While trying to deal with this, I reuploaded some of the images that are now duplicated in Browse All. Is there a way to delete them?

  You can delete any images previously uploaded here -> Manage -> Uploads. And I do think upgrading your browser to firefox 2.0.0.4 is a good idea.
