Images Displayed as an X when using them in a widget

  I have added some photos to my media library to use on my page. I can see them fine in the library however when I try to use them in a widget on my page it just displays an X and not the image. What do I need to do my make this work properly?

  If you see an X then you didn’t use the right URL. Image URLs always end with the filetype extension, for instance “.jpg”. Go to Media > Library, click Edit next to the thumbnail, copy the image URL from the File URL field of the Save module: that’s the URL you need.

  Thank you so much, I was using the tiny URL, I replaced it with the long version and I am all set! thanks!

  You’re welcome.
  The dashboard doesn’t provide a tiny URL for images: the “shortlink” it provides doesn’t link to the image file itself, it links to a page with the image on it.
