I sent you a message and screenshot via the chat, but have no response. My images are showing up within Media and as I am using Administration with to edit the website. But they do not appear on the web or on an Incognito webpage. Other people cannot see the images.

YEP—- I just spent hours writing and editing a phot journal entry– only to have several key photos not appear in the post when published.. they are evident in the editing mode, but upon publishing things are “moved” from my original layout, and some pics are blank spaces, the captions are there but the JPG file doesn’t show.

Anybody find a solution or has Worpres responded??

I’m just starting my first WP site and I cannot upload any images at all. Very frustrating.

It’s baffling. I chose an image for the article, but when publishing the article the image is not there. ?!

Images not appearing on your blog could be caused by several issues. Here’s how to troubleshoot and fix the problem: 1. Check Image Links

    • Ensure that the image URLs in your blog posts are correct.
    • If the images are hosted externally, verify that the source links are still valid.

    2. Verify File Paths

    • If the images are uploaded directly to your website, confirm the file paths are accurate. For example:
      • Correct: /uploads/image-name.jpg
      • Incorrect: /upload/image.jpg

    3. Permissions Issue

    • Ensure the folder where the images are stored has the correct permissions. Typically, folders should have permissions set to 755 and files to 644.

    4. Caching Problem

    • Clear your website and browser cache.
    • If you’re using a CDN (Content Delivery Network), purge the cache there too.

    5. Broken Images

    • Right-click on an image placeholder and choose “Open Image in New Tab” to see if the file loads.
    • If it doesn’t, the file may be missing or corrupted. Reupload the image.

    6. Content Management System (CMS) Settings

    • Check if your CMS (e.g., WordPress, Blogger) has specific settings for media visibility.
    • For WordPress:
      • Go to Settings > Media to confirm correct configurations.
      • Ensure no plugins block images.

    7. Theme or Plugin Conflict

    • Temporarily switch to a default theme and disable all plugins.
    • Re-enable them one by one to identify if a theme or plugin is causing the issue.

    8. Hotlink Protection

    • If your web host has hotlink protection enabled, it might block images from loading. Check with your hosting provider.

    9. Check .htaccess File (for Apache Servers)

    • A misconfigured .htaccess file might block images. Ensure it includes proper directives for image access.

    10. Browser Console Errors

    • Open the developer tools in your browser (usually via F12 or right-click > “Inspect”) and look for errors in the Console or Network tabs.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, let me know, and we can explore further!

If images aren’t showing up on your blog, here are some possible causes and solutions: 1. Broken Links or Incorrect Paths

    • Ensure the image URLs in your blog posts are accurate.
    • If images are stored on your site, confirm they are located in the correct folder and the paths match.

    2. File Missing or Corrupted

    • Check your media library or hosting directory to confirm the images exist.
    • If missing or corrupted, re-upload the images.

    3. Permission Issues

    • Ensure your server’s folder and file permissions are properly configured.
    • Common permissions:
      • Folders: 755
      • Files: 644

    4. Cache Problem

    • Clear your website cache and the browser cache.
    • If using a CDN (Content Delivery Network), purge the cache there too.

    5. Hotlink Protection

    • If your hosting provider has hotlink protection enabled, it might block your images.
    • Disable this feature via your hosting control panel if necessary.

    6. Theme or Plugin Conflicts

    • Some themes or plugins might interfere with image loading.
    • Temporarily switch to a default theme and disable plugins to test.

    7. CMS Configuration

    • If you’re using a CMS (like WordPress), check the media settings to ensure images are being processed correctly.
    • Ensure plugins related to media or performance aren’t blocking images.

    8. Browser Console Check

    • Open the developer tools in your browser (F12 or right-click > Inspect).
    • Check for errors in the Console or Network tabs related to image loading.

    9. CDN or Server Errors

    • If you use a CDN, ensure it’s properly configured and the images are being delivered.
    • Check your server logs for errors related to image requests.

    10. Check Your .htaccess File

    • For sites using Apache servers, a misconfigured .htaccess file might block images.
    • Review the file for any rules that restrict image access.
