Images don’t appear properly.
-
I’m currently using the WordPress theme Simpla which has been designed by Phu. Though everything else appears fine, there’s a certain problem with the images in this theme. Supposing you put up a small image(such as a link to a social bookmarking website), the image appears slightly raised as compared to the text. Even though this doesn’t affect the working but the slightly raised images look very improper.
I’ve tried all the HTML I know. I’ve tried using WP’s image uploading too but nothing works. I’ve tried using the align property but even that doesn’t work. I’m putting up a a screenshot which shows the signature I use below my posts. If you carefully observe it, you’ll see that the images are slightly raised as compared to the normal text and to the “|” signs. If there is any way I can fix this, please tell me.

Just by the way, I’m using Firefox 2.0.0.11 on Windows XP Service Pack 2. And I’ve tried checking it on Flock and Internet Explorer as well but can’t do anything.

@ishmeet
Click on my name. I’m using the Misty Look theme and the same icons. Also note that I like the fact that the social bookmark images appear “raised”in this theme. I can switch to another theme like “The Journalist” and the “raised” appearance disappears. Thus it seems to me that this is “theme dependent” and as such does not require “fixing”. -

@devblog
Here’s a link to a post on my blog (Misty Look theme). Note the social bookmarking icons at the end of the posts http://wpbloggingtips.wordpress.com/2007/12/11/multiple-author-wordpress-blogs/
Also note that all other images have a normal “flush” with page appearance. -
Thanks, TT.
My question was directed to Ishmeet because I wanted to see if the problem has something to do on how that theme’s CSS handles images.
I apologize for the confusion… it’s Friday.

@timethief: Yeah, I figured it’s a formatting issue because when you try to use smileys in the comments, everything gets totally ruined. But I just thought I’d ask to make sure if there was some way to make it right.
@devblog: Since it wasn’t working I didn’t use that signature anymore. I can do it on a post and show you if you still need it.

@timethief
What happens if you add border=”0″ the img src of your social bookmarking code? -

It won’t maake any difference, that’s what. The Mistylook theme includes a shadow for all images in the CSS. Therefore, if you want to get rid of it, you’ll need the CSS upgrade.

Thank you but as you can see from my entry here I don’t really care wheter or not the images appear to be raised. I just wanted to point out that this phenomena is found in some themes and not in others https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=15876&page&replies=12#post-144867
