images failing to upload

  I keep trying to upload pictures taken on my camera from my pictures folder on my computer to my wordpress library but I keep receiving an error and a notification that says, “The file could not be uploaded because an error occurred while uploading.”
  What can I do to fix this??

  Hi @hapalmer9,

  Although sometimes that can be a temporary error caused by a faulty connection between your computer and the WordPress.com servers,
  there are some reasons why you had this error:

  – The file is too big. The bigger the image size, the more chances to incur in this kind of errors. You may want to have a look at these image optimisation advice decrease the file size for images before uploading them.
  – You’ve run out of space. According to your WordPress.com plan, you have a certain amount of storage space that might be over. To check that, go to Dashboard>Media Library, the information is at the top if the page.

  If it’s any of these, you might need a direct Staff double check. Just type ‘modlook’ on the tag boxes of this page to let the Staff know you need further assistance.
