Images from my gallery have disappeared! Why?

  All images in my library have disappeared. Everything seemed normal and then my latest post appeared with no image. Some people can see the image, but when I log in I see no image in the preview. WHen I look at my library of images they have disappeared – there are just grey boxes there – the title, caption and alternate text information is still there.

  Thank you for your reply. THis appears to have been an issue with my computer (iMac) and browser (Safari) but the symptoms were bewildering.

  When looking at the gallery of images I had uploaded, they were all blank squares, although the titles, captions and alternate text were retained. When inserting these into a post there was just a box with a caption, but actual image. My preview of blog posts and live view also lacked images. ALso the e-mail announcing the post lacked an image.

  I tried clearing cache in the browser and that caused the effect in all the blogs I had.

  However other computers in the house could see the posts fine (PC) and they looked OK on my phone (iPhone)

  In the end a re-start of the computer cured it – but I still have no idea quite how it could have happened
