Images from posts 2011 and older not showing

Images from my posts that were written in 2011 and older no longer show. All that I see are image clipping icons. Not sure if this is the problem, but I looked at my media library and noticed that the upload dates on my images are showing 2012 even though these images were uploaded in 2011 and 2010. Any idea what’s going on and if it can be fixed? My images were placed inline in the post and not as a carousel or gallery.

Since your posts are password protected, we cannot see anything other than the front page of your site.
At the moment I see those images going back to 2010 with the exception of 2 posts which don’t seem to have any featured image (“The Final Stretch” and “One Month Already”.)
If these are images within the posts themselves, please let us know and someone will mark this for Staff assistance.

I made the post titled “1 month already” public so you should be able to view that one. It’s actually the photos within the post that aren’t showing up – although it’s true that the 2 posts that you noted aren’t displaying the featured image as well. Thanks for the help!

OK-tagged for Staff assistance. You can go ahead and add the password protection again as Staff will be able to see it regardless.

Howdy,
Looking at the “1 month already”, the images are being “hotlinked” from a different website (meaning instead of the images being brought in from nosleepforyou.wordpress.com, they’re coming from a completely different site).
One of them is at http://khfarrell.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/11/IMG_1915_sm.jpg , which appears to be an inactive website.
It’s from some time ago, but I’m thinking that when the blog was imported in the “Download and import file attachments” wasn’t checked, so the images weren’t re-uploaded to WordPress.com.
If you have any questions or anything else I can do, please let me know.

Oh that’s weird. I can’t remember how I brought those images in. So if those images appear in my image gallery, do I need to reimport them into my posts one by one? Or are the images in my gallery hotlinked as well?

@nosleepforyou – While you might be able to hotlink single images, but if you’ve used the Gallery feature as described here, those images have to be uploaded to your WordPress.com site to work. You can’t hotlink them.

justjennifer is on the mark there. Additionally, anything appearing in your Media Library ( https://nosleepforyou.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php ) is uploaded to your site and no change should be needed.
For the images that appear broken, since they don’t exist at the original location anymore, they would need to be manually uploaded and re-inserted.
