Images getting resized

For the last couple of days, I have been having a problem with posting images. I have been posting images every day, and I am not doing anything differently. When I preview, I notice that the images are much smaller than they are in my photobucket. When I go back to the coded page, I notice that there are widths and heights assigned that I did not put there. I keep fixing them, and they keep reappearing. Yesterday afternoon, it kept happening. I kept fixing and previewing. Sometimes the image would be the right size, and then, when published, it was smaller again. Finally, it posted the correct size after several tries. I just published another set of images, and the same thing happened all over again. Is there some kind of systems problem? Is anyone else having this problem? Thanks for any help.

I haven’t heard of this problem before. Can you give us an example of an image that got resized? The blog entry URL would be good, as then we could see what was happening in context. Also, are you using the visual editor or the code editor?

Is this for a wordpress.com or are you hosted elsewhere? I note that there isn’t a blog with your username here at wp.com. If you’re hosted elsewhere, you need to be at the other site at http://wordpress.org as you would be running different software than we do here.

But if you are here at wordpress.com, we would really need an example of this to see what is occuring.

I’m so sorry to take so long to respond. I had connection problems.
This is the entry I was referring to:
    http://mikk2.wordpress.com/2007/05/05/a-guide-to-the-republican-presidential-debate/
The same thing happened with the previous entry, but, like I said in my original post, that finally worked after I edited it several times.
All the images in the post were resized by the system. All my images are from photobucket, and I never had a problem before the other day.
Here is an example. In the entry I refer to above, this is what I entered as the url:
    http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i91/nonnie9999/reagan%20rethugs/ronaldreagan.jpg
This is what the system changed it to:
    “http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i91/nonnie9999/reagan%20rethugs/ronaldreagan.jpg” style=”width: 93.8223px; height: 138.437px” />
    The original image was 143px x 211px.
I tried correcting the problem in both visual and code editor. When I fixed it, it would preview okay in visual editor, but when I went to the actual preview, the images were smaller, and when I returned to code editor, the resizing was back again.
I am sorry that I am not very technically savvy. That’s one of the reasons I love wordpress. It is very user friendly for tech idiots such as myself.
    Thanks for any help.

I think nonnie9999 is using the “visual rich” editor option and I think it is the visual editor adding its own style width and height additions, in all probability.

Did that fix the problem? I only use the visual editor, and I’ve never encountered this issue before.

Problem fixed! Mikk0, you are a genius. I posted an image tonight with no problem whatsoever after turning off the visual editor.

How do you turn off (or on) the visual editor??? I’m having a similar problem except my images keep getting bigger, not smaller. I looked around for editing options to change but found nothing. Please help?
