images half size and wrong alignment
-
About a month ago many images in my posts suddenly went wrong. They had all been left-justified, but suddenly a lot of them were centred – and half-size! ARGHHHHH!! WP.com don’t seem to know of any issue. I can’t see any change to the HTML or anything obviously wrong with the code, but I’m not a coder. This is the HTML for a photo that’s changed:
[caption width="514" align="alignnone"]<img class=”alignnone size-full” title=”1491300448-picsay.jpg” alt=”image” src=”http://soothfairy.files.wordpress.com/2017/04/1491300448-picsay.jpg”><b>Beverly and Alan – a match made in hell</b>

Just so I make sure we’re looking at the same thing, can you give me the URL to a specific post where you are seeing this happen?
-
The last image (5 of 5) in the post below is affected:

-
Can you send me a screenshot of what you are seeing so I can compare to what I’m seeing?
Here are some screenshot instructions if you are not familiar with the process:
I find http://snag.gy/ to be very useful for sharing screenshots. You can also upload the screenshot to your site’s media library. I will be able to see it there.
-
I’ve added it to my WP media library. It’s from my android smartphone. (I do everything on my smartphone. I assume that most of my readers view my blog on their smartphones.)
-
I’ve added some more. I think this all of them. Weirdly, most of the images that were affected have gone back to how they looked before.

I am unable to replicate this issue when viewing your site, I’m afraid. Given the fact that this doesn’t seem to be a consistent issue, even when you view the site, I’m inclined to think it was some sort of browser/loading issue.
-
OK, thanks rootjosh. Thats wierd that you cant replicate it. I’ve checked it in 5 different browsers on my (Samsung Galaxy S7) phone. It’s the same in all of them.
-
So, interestingly, after digging a bit more the Turing test post is one where I can very obviously see the image weirdness.
Can you tell me what happens when you scroll to the bottom of that post and click “view full version”?
-
The Turing pic looks OK in Full View. (Never done that before. What does View Full Site actually do? The text is much bigger – probably too big.)

In fact they all look OK in Full View.
But presumably my reader is unlikely to do that…

You could try turning off the mobile theme and seeing if that made a difference:

The images are OK in Full View – but the text is too big. It’s on the smallest setting – ‘Tiny.
-
Apologies if you are noticing any weirdness. I’m testing a couple things to troubleshoot.
