Could it be due to inconsistent image size?

It looks to me like the images above them have text that falls to two lines and pushes the content below them down.
The way this is working is an intentional part of the Imbalance 2 theme design which uses a script called masonry to stack posts on the home page like bricks in a wall. The content is supposed to fit into the next available slot without extra spacing above or below, and it’s not designed to be used as a grid.
However, it can look like a grid if you make the content conform to be exactly the same height for every single post. To do that in this case, you would need to shorten the text “Der Einzige und sein Eigentum” and “What Is Contemporary Art? (I & II)” so they fit to one line like the rest of the surrounding posts.
