Images in Media Library and in published posts appearing broken

Still screwed up. Some images aren’t showing up, some are. I don’t have the time to figure out what has changed since I was on (and everything was working) last night. What did WordPress change in the past 24 hours to cause this and when will it be fixed?

Mine still aren’t back – I only just realised as I was bored at work and ‘random-reading’ my own posts and saw about half my photos were missing so came straight on here…

Problem fixed for me as well! Thank God! I was really pissed off! I was trying to find out what I did wrong all day long!

Same issues for me – started about three hours ago putting photos into draft post with some photos loading broken even after deleting and reloading. In blog, overall random photo issues in recent posts through those over one year old. Links broken in post window but okay in preview, or missing in gallery and okay in post, or okay as featured image but not within post.
Deleted cache, restarted browsers, all browsers current, tried in FF, IE and Chrome, using under 10% of memory.

They are maybe reinstating files user by user? Would be nice if someone would actually tell us what’s going on.

I have the same problem.
Today opened my blog ( http://daszir.wordpress.com/ ) and I notice that a lot of pictures are is not visible. In place, that supposed be a miniature of photo, the icon of lost or delete picture is displayed. I can not see this picture in my media storage. Someone have maybe information from staff, or we must waiting until problem magic fix it? -

Just as I typed that mine have been fixed lol. Light at the end of the tunnel for everyone else! Thanks to the tech guys for their help btw.

Humbling that a few grains of sand can bring down the great machine; thrilled that (apparently) the grains can be brushed away so easily.

I am experiencing the same problem today, when I opened my site (thepostcardtrail.wordpress.com.)!
I noticed that some older images are suddenly not being displayed on the main site or on particular posts once you click on them. The little icon is displayed meaning it cannot load. But if you actually click on the image, it pops up and reveals it. So I don’t quite understand?

Most of my images are back in my media library, but there are a few where the thumbnail is still missing. It’s also not visible in preview, but is showing on the post page.
(Library – see middle of top row).
