Images in search results

  Hi. Apologies if this has been asked before. Couldn’t find it in search results.

  Wanted to see if there was a setting where I could have an image show up with post search results. I have a few regular features I’m creating a widget for and think they would benefit from the image to attract viewers to check them out.

  Or is this a case where I’d be better served setting up a page and using the widget to link to that so I could have the images?

  There is no such setting. Whether or not thumbnails are displayed in search results is theme dependent. You can create a Post or Page and then use the display posts shortcode on it.
