Images ‘link to’ query

I have a query with which option is best to chose for images ‘link to’ query…

Attachment Page: Links your inserted image to its WordPress media attachment page. (not recommended to do this – i’m told!) so i don’t do this.

Media File: Links your inserted image directly to the original, full-size version of the file. (don’t do this either a i don’t want anyone to open a full sized version of the image)

Custom URL: Allows you to set a custom link URL for your inserted image to link to when clicked. (i sometimes use the post url that I am uploading it to – it includes the keywords (in the url) and encourages it as a internal link) good or bad?

None: This setting will remove the link completely, rendering the image “un-clickable”. renders it unclickable but would still get picked up elsewhere such as google images wouldn’t it??

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, for the custom URL question on whether or not it’s good or bad, it’s up to you. If you want the image to redirect to somewhere, then it’s good. If you don’t, there’s no need to use it. Search engines will still index your images even if they’re set to “None”. :)
