Images look bad sometimes

  Sometimes especially the header and most of the other images look bad – the resolution is much lower than normally.
  How is that possible?

  Can you give an example?

  Do you size your header images correctly before uploading them?

  I have a photo blog with (obviously!) lots of images, and whilst I’ve not uploaded large images (640 pixels on the long side) they look find for the size they are.
