Images Lose Quality on Blog Posts

    I’m having problems with my images losing quality when I add them to blog posts. I do my part by resizing the images in photoshop to about 400 KB so that they are an optimal size for the web. I also have WP Smush which supposedly compresses images without affecting quality. It’s weird because when I upload my images to my media library, the quality looks identical to the photoshop version, but when I move the images from my media library to blog posts, the quality significantly lowers. I’ve tried looking in the media settings and seeing if there was a way to preserve the quality of images, but I couldn’t find anything, so now I feel stuck.

    You don’t reveal the address of the site you are having issues with. Note that staff and volunteers in this forum can only assist with sites hosted here at WordPress.com. Have you the WordPress.com Business plan as you mention that you use the Smush plugin? If your site is hosted elsewhere and using the WordPress.org software there is a separate forum for assistance. https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
