Images missing in Media Library

  Images uploaded prior to 16th November 2016 are missing from my Media Library. Posts are showing a broken image link. I still have 89% space left on my plan. How did they disappear? Are they really completely gone from the server? Can I get them back?

  It appears that your user account was used to deleted them from the media library.

  For example, the image in this post:

  Goodbye Gladys!

  …was deleted 1 month ago.

  Remember, images deleted from the media library can not appear in posts.

  Thank you for your reply.
  I had just come to that same conclusion after searching the Internet.
  I hadn’t realised that deleting them would remove them from my blog. I was tidying up!
  I have all the photos backed up on Google Images.
  I presume that means that I replace them?

  You will need to replace them and then reinsert them into the blog posts where they are missing.
