Images not being submitted

  Hi,

  I submit my sitemap regularly to google to try and keep everything indexed and up to date.

  However, my images don’t seem to be getting indexed correctly. So far, only 42 images have been submitted to google to be indexed – I have hundreds on my website. Is there any particular reason for this?

  WordPress.com provides the search engines with a sitemap for your blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/sitemaps/ and pings the search engines every time your publish and edit. It takes time for Google and the other search engines to index your content. http://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

  Thanks Timethief – I suppose an irrelevant response is better than no response.

  I know it takes time to index my content; but when the content isn’t submitted then it’s not going to get indexed is it?

  Yes, there is a particular reason for this: the reason is, Google has downgraded WP.com blogs in favour of Blogspot blogs. You can google any number of articles to back this up, and there is nothing short of moving your blog that you can do about it.
