Images not centred in RSS feed via Mail Chimp
-
Hi.. I am learning how to structure an RSS weekly digest of my WP blog via Mail Chimp. The images I have placed in the blog that are centered revert to the left when the blog is converted to Mail Chimp.
thanks! The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Sounds like MailChimp is overriding your design elements. Have you asked them for assistance?
-
hi.. yes, they said the problem was with WP, that the feed takes its directive from WP and something must be going wrong there..

This is a recent issue for us as well. Previously if I applied standard CSS it would center our image along with the content in the mailchimp email, but now no matter what I do the image is aligned left.
<div style="margin-left: auto; margin-right:auto; width: 100%">*|RSSITEMS:|* *|RSSITEM:CONTENT_FULL|* *|END:RSSITEMS|*</div>
Any thoughts on how this can be resolved? -
I am having the same problem with WP posts via mailchimp – all images are pushed to the left. Would love a solution to this problem.

I was able to correct this issue on our posts by adding a div tag around the image within the wordpress post. With the <div></div> surrounding the image it will allow the image to center properly within the Mailchimp email.

humanexventures, thanks for the tip. I am no coder…if I go to text version of post, do I put these tags before/after [caption id="attachment...] which seems to start the whole image block off, or before/after the ? Appreciate the help!

The last part of the above question was meant to read, “or before/after the <a href=”…….”
-
It would be outside of the with {}. So it would be {div}{a href=”…”}blah blah{/a}{/div}.
Let me know if you want any clarification!

Great! Last question….would this eliminate the need to <center><i> …. </center></i> the captions associated with each image? Mailchimp did not pull in that formatting which made the captions read as part of the body copy, so I’ve been individually tagging captions. Thank you!

I have not been using captions in my usage so I cannot say for sure, but the easiest way to figure that out would be to try it without and then go into your mailchimp campaign and go to the design tab then ‘Preview & test’ to see if the content centers. My guess is that it will not be needed, but I cannot be certain. Hope this helps!
